Dermaplaning

The procedure of dermaplaning is an exfoliation process on the skin and uses a surgical steel scalpel (dermaplaning tool) to lightly scrape the surface of the skin to remove hair and dead skin cells. The tool is held at a 45-degree angle and brushed along the skin. One concern that is very common with this procedure is that the hair will grow back darker and thicker…. WRONG! Shaving does not cause hair to grow back thicker, the fact is the hair shaved now has a dull tip. If the hair has been shaved, the dull edge can appear thicker than the pointed tip, but it is not necessarily larger. In the same way as shaving, dermaplaning removes very fine hair called vellus hair. The fine hair on the face is so thin and soft that removing it won’t make a noticeable difference in the thickness of the hair.

Active Acne Laser Treatment - Carbon

The Hollywood Facial aka Carbon Laser Facial has become a fan favourite among celebrities and is the go-to treatment prior to Red Carpet events. Well, for starters it is not even a facial, it is actually an innovative laser treatment. It includes exfoliation and resurfacing and also assists to enhance the look of wrinkles, pores, and even acne. The process first involves applying a black carbon mask. Then a laser is used to heat the carbon and allows it to infiltrate into the skin. Laser carbon peels (facials) are usually very efficient for enhancing the appearance of oily skin and big pores. If you deal with severe acne or acne scarring, it could take a number of treatments before you see the best results. In regard to fine lines and wrinkles, they should also be noticeably reduced after a couple of sessions.
